Unilever Indonesia

PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk has been operating in Indonesia since 1933 and has grown together with the people of Indonesia for over 78 years. With 40 brands currently, Unilever products have long been part of Indonesian homes , including Pepsodent, Lifebuoy, Lux, Dove, Sunsilk, Clear, Pond's, Citra Rexona, Rinso, Molto, Blue Band, SariWangi, Royco, Bango, Wall's Ice Cream and many more. The company went public in 1981 and its shares are registered and traded in the Indonesian Stock Exchange. With 8 factories and over 6000 employees, Unilever is strongly committed to continue progressing and advancing together with Indonesia.

Globally, Unilever has the ambition to double its business while reducing by half its environmental impacts and increasing its social impacts. To achieve that, in 2010 Unilever launched the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan, a strategy which has three big aims: improved health and well being, reduced environmental impacts and enhanced livelihood. In Indonesia, some of the achievements include hand washing with soap education which has reached over 4 million people by 2011, day and night brushing campaign which has reached over 4000 schoolchildren, reduced calorie in Paddle Pop and Moo ice creams, reduction of hazardous waste in Unilever's factories by 71 % (4 million kilograms) by end 2010, the replacement of ice cream cabinets into environment-friendly freezers, the launching of water-saving "Molto One Rinse”, sourcing of tea and palm oil from sustainable sources, the development of over 9000 black soya bean farmers, and the introduction of waste banks as part of Unilever's environmental programs in Indonesia, which has collected over 772 thousand tons of waste.
